IISc has long been on the LeT's target list along with others like BHEL,BEL,ISRO, Infy and Wipro.

The Bangalore Police had reports on presence of Terrorists in the city, infact even TOI had mentioned that Security has been beefed up acrss certain areas. Sensitive locations of Wipro / Infy had increased scrutiny of people entering their premises.

Why the attack ??
Vijay Chandru - the brain child behind the Simputer, had apparently mocked the terror mongers during his launch when queried on the possible use of his device to spread terror.

Last nite i was caught out in the nakabandi imposed, when i was returning home at around 12am, the same continued this morning as well the Qualis in which i was travelling to Mysore with colleagues was checked twice.

2 days is the time i fell our police wil take to figure out who is behind this and nab him as well - pretty decent response time.
